Drummond’s Point Road repaving – NCDOT reported at the November County
Commissioner’s meeting that the portion of Drummond’s Point Road from Indian
Trail to the end (Albemarle Shores) is scheduled to be repaved in 2009. During an
offline conversation NCDOT officials stated that pending budget reductions may
cause this project to be cancelled or postponed.
Chowan County Newsletter - As requested by the Chowan County Board of
Commissioners, a quarterly newsletter will be published for the residents of
Chowan County highlighting events and activities of Chowan County Government.
You can request that the newsletter be emailed to you each quarter. Send your

Revised Covenants - The draft revision to the ASPOA covenants is available on the
Owner's Page. If you have comments or suggestions regarding this revision,
please contact Jeanne Credle.
DSL Internet Now Available - Up to 1.5 Mbps is available with Embarq.
Property Tax Increase - On August 14th the Chowan County Board of
Commissioners approved an amended 2008/9 budget that included a $0.09 tax
increase. Revised tax notices will be mailed to all Chowan County property owners.
